The Women of God Art Retreat has been expanded to include writers and
individuals, and others seeking respite for a few days. It is a small retreat
designed to accommodate the needs of the individual. No more than four guests
are accepted for each stay. Because of its' size, the retreat is perfect for those
seeking a quiet place in which to work or study. The visual artist/artists will find
a large studio overlooking the historical neighborhood where it sits. The region is
among the most beautiful in the world. The retreat is a 15 minute drive from a local
art community, a state park, and a national preserve. It is a 45 minute drive from
Chattanooga, Tn, and its' art district. Critiques and/or classes for beginners and
advanced students are available. Writers can work in the solitude of their rooms
and other nooks and crannies in the 1890's historical home. A creative writing,
fiction, and non-fiction curriculum is available. Bed & breakfast type
accommodations are available with kitchen privileges. The common rooms are
open. A large front porch overlooks the town and a large deck on the back of
the house allows for small gatherings. This is also the home of
Director/artist-writer Anne Hamilton. She is available for classes and critiques.
